LatAm "Pink Tide" receding...

Today's proof point that the pendulum is now swinging conservative is this article about about how the tide in Latin America is swinging away from the left and toward the right.

Gee.  The liars and con men and users and the production-less consumers have now completely run the place into the ground and finally the people have had enough of the bullshit.  Finally the poor people are beginning to realize that leftists/liberals are just as much elitists as fake conservatives are.  The liberal left promises free stuff if you just show up and jump through their hoops and vote for them and attend their rallies and the overbearing right fake conservatives promise that if you work real hard they might let some of the crumbs fall off the table and trickle down.

Of course, as crappy as it all is, at least the right want to build things and to progress and to produce useful stuff and so following every draining of the societal reserves by the left, the right have to get control again for awhile in order to pay of the debts of the something-for-nothing, life-owes-me-a-living left.  Lather, rinse, repeat.

At first the conservative stuff will sounds good and it in fact will be good.

FOR A WHILE.

But I guarantee you that as long as the world uses a fake money supply the conservatives will be corrupted by it just as badly, in the fullness of time, as the liberals were.  If you sail on a sea of piss then it doesn't take a genius to realize what that yellow spray always is and it does not matter which boat you are in!

The only time the working class is ever going to get a fair shake from the elite, be it left or right, is if they labor under an honest money supply.  Without this the buying power of their savings will decline over time, their real time labor will be devalued, rights and freedoms will become less and less and privacy will become nonexistent.  As long as fake money is used in the economy, bankers and government grow stronger and the people grow weaker.  This is the real lesson that people need to learn and until they do we should not expect any real long term change.  It will take a major collapse for that to happen.  I do not think such a collapse is out of the question by any means.

And just north of Argentina in Brazil, the impeachment process against the president reelected just a year ago is being broached. The chargers are multiple: fiscal crime, electoral crime, corruption. Of course, all of them par for the Brazilian presidential course. Yet, this time, it seems to somehow matter more than at other times. Ending 13 years of the Workers' Party is the great bonus, lest it become a dynasty.
